Resting Page
A resting page captures something that seems significant or interesting, but whose time is not yet.
An idea, or image or, in my case, colour/emotion, will not be lost, so it can rest on the page, awaiting the right moment.
And you can rest, too, knowing that you don’t have to develop all your inspirations at once!
Borrowing from Open Space unConferencing:
- Whenever it happens is the right time
- Whatever happens is the only thing that could have!
I also just doodle, sometimes. But if my intention is practical, for example to play with materials or composition, then I do that in a different book. (If it later wants to be Smashed, too, it’s easy enough to glue a page in!)
This is a study (or practice) using gouache over wax crayon, inspired by the colours of the above resting page.
